This is a planning estimate, not any firm’s official rule engine — day grouping uses your browser’s local timezone, which may not match a firm’s actual daily-reset time. Always confirm exact rules with the firm before relying on this for a real decision. Firms marked with an info icon use a simplified, tightest-published number where the real limit varies by plan.

How to use it

Using the Multi-Firm Rule Simulator in 4 steps

  1. 1Choose your trade history source: an existing PROP-type trading account from the Journal, or manual entry of a day-by-day P&L sequence.
  2. 2If using an account, pick which one — its trades are grouped into daily P&L automatically. If entering manually, add or edit each day's P&L directly.
  3. 3Check the box next to every prop firm you want to compare against — as many as you like at once.
  4. 4Read the results table: pass/breached status per firm, the first day and rule that would have breached the account, and profit target progress.

Why it matters

What this does for your trading

  • Answers "would I have passed firm X?" using trades you've already logged, instead of re-reading each firm's rule page by hand.
  • Compares several firms' rule sets side by side against the exact same trade sequence, surfacing which ones are actually more forgiving for your trading style.
  • Catches which specific rule and day would have ended an account — often earlier than the trader assumed, since daily loss and consistency limits can breach well before max drawdown does.

Settings for this tool

What you can customize via Settings

  • This tool doesn't pull from Settings — trade source, starting balance, daily P&L, and selected firms are all chosen fresh each time.
  • Decimal places (Settings → Calculators) doesn't apply here — results are shown as pass/breach status, dates, and percentages, never a configurable dollar precision.
