How to use it
Using the Position Size Calculator in 4 steps
- 1Enter your account balance and choose whether to size by risk % or a fixed dollar amount.
- 2Enter the stop-loss distance in pips for the trade you're planning.
- 3Pick the currency pair and your account currency — the conversion rate auto-fills from live rates.
- 4Read off the recommended position size in lots, plus the equivalent in mini and micro lots.
Why it matters
What this does for your trading
- Removes guesswork from sizing so every trade risks the same known percentage of your account.
- Protects your account from oversized losses caused by "eyeballing" a lot size.
- Keeps sizing consistent across pairs, even though pip values differ from one pair to the next.
