Trading Accounts
One profile per account — personal or prop firm — that every calculator, the Trade Planner, and the Rule Guard read from.
How to use it
Using the Trading Accounts in 5 steps
- 1Click "New account" and choose Personal or Prop firm.
- 2For a prop firm account, set starting balance, daily loss limit, max drawdown, consistency limit, and profit target.
- 3Optionally attach the strategies you plan to trade on this account.
- 4Set it active — every calculator, the Trade Planner, and the Prop Firm Rule Guard immediately start using its balance and rules.
- 5Add more accounts for other challenges or your personal account, and switch the active one anytime.
Why it matters
What this does for your trading
- One real account profile instead of re-typing balance and risk rules into every calculator.
- Every tool on PipDesk — Trade Planner, Rule Guard, Trading Desk — reads live from whichever account is active.
- A portfolio rollup shows total funded capital, combined equity, and accounts currently at risk once you have more than one.
- Trader Health scores each account from its own real trades, so a struggling challenge never hides behind a healthy one.
Settings for this tool
What you can customize via Settings
- Settings → Trading's Default account balance, Default risk %, and other defaults only apply until you create your first Trading Account — after that, the active account's real numbers take over everywhere.
- Deleting an account here is permanent and can't be undone — check its Journal trades first if you need the history.
