A live safety check against your active account's daily loss and drawdown limits

Upcoming high-impact news and session status for the pair you're planning

How to use it

Using the Trade Planner in 5 steps

  1. 1Choose direction (buy/sell) and the currency pair — the exchange rate fills in automatically.
  2. 2Enter entry, stop loss, take profit, and your risk % — position size and risk:reward compute live.
  3. 3Check the account safety check panel — it shows whether this trade fits your active account's remaining daily and overall drawdown budget.
  4. 4Review the market context panel for open sessions and any high-impact news due on this pair in the next 24 hours.
  5. 5Click "Save & log trade" to send it straight to a pre-filled Journal entry — just add the exit and notes once it closes.

Why it matters

What this does for your trading

  • Confirms a trade fits your account's real risk limits before you place it, not after.
  • Surfaces upcoming high-impact news on the exact pair you're planning, so you're not blindsided mid-trade.
  • Removes the "which lot size" guesswork — position size is computed from your real risk % and stop distance.
  • Saves a round of manual Journal data entry — your planned figures carry straight through.

What you can customize via Settings

  • Settings → Trading's Default account balance, Default risk %, Preferred pair, and Base currency pre-fill this page — an active Trading Account overrides the balance and risk % with its real numbers.
  • The account safety check needs an active Trading Account (Accounts) — without one it has nothing real to check daily/overall drawdown against.
